Abu Bakar Katty Sillah, a 17-year-old boy suffering from a severe spinal condition, is urgently seeking financial assistance for surgery following his diagnosis of D7 vertebral collapse and spinal cord compression. The debilitating effects of his condition have left him unable to use his limbs, jeopardizing his dream of becoming an engineer.

Recent test results from Connaught Hospital revealed that Abu Bakar requires immediate surgery, estimated to cost approximately $12,000, which must be performed in India. In light of these pressing circumstances, the Sillah family is reaching out to the community, government, and philanthropists for support.

“We are appealing to the government and philanthropists for assistance, hoping to restore Abu Bakar’s ability to walk and help him pursue his dreams,” his family expressed.

Those interested in providing support or seeking more information are encouraged to visit the surgical unit at Connaught Hospital, bringing along Abu Bakar Katty Sillah’s photo to meet him and his family in person.
