‼️APC DELEGATES: THIS IS BIGGER THAN POLITICS‼️

Episode 5: Mohamed O. Kamara, a.k.a. “Jagaban”
The Price of Power?

By Dr. Doma

Everybody wants to be President these days.
It’s almost becoming a national joke.
Are we still serious as a country, or has Sierra Leone truly become a farm where anybody with enough bags of rice and bundles of cash can just show up and declare for State House?

Enter Mohamed O. Kamara, popularly known as “Jagaban.” He’s loud, visible, and very generous.
There’s no denying the fact that Jagaban has gained attention across the country, especially among APC delegates.
But let’s face it , it’s not because of any unique policy ideas or proven leadership track record. It’s because of his money.

Wherever he goes, he’s dishing out cash.
People call him a philanthropist, a man of the people.
But at this point, one has to ask are we running a country or “we dae tie Osusu?”
Is this politics or just another version of betting like Mercury International?
Yes, politics involves money, but should that be the central focus for winning support?

It’s dangerous. Very dangerous.

Let’s be honest, If Jagaban is spending this much money just to become the APC flagbearer, what happens if he wins the ticket and later wins the presidency?
He’ll need to recover every single cent and that recovery won’t come from his pocket ,it’ll come from the nation’s resources. From you, From me.
From the same people who are clapping for him now.
That’s the bitter truth.

We cannot continue to treat leadership like a business venture.
If we allow this pattern to continue, where money decides everything then Sierra Leone is finished.
There will be no development, no genuine governance, no future. Just businessmen running the State like a shop and the rest of us watching our lives depreciate.

Let me be clear giving support to people is not wrong.
Many of us need support and yes, it feels good to receive.
But APC delegates must not confuse temporary handouts with long-term leadership.
A man who gives rice and money today may not have the patience or vision to govern a troubled nation tomorrow.

The presidency is not about handouts.
It’s about solving real problems. The country is in crisis.
People are suffering.
Our youth are unemployed.
Our schools are broken.
Drug abuse is destroying communities.
Tribal division is on the rise.
The people are losing hope.
So I ask what are Jagaban’s ideas to fix these issues?
What does he truly stand for? Beyond the cash and showmanship, what is his national vision?

Politics is not a popularity contest and certainly not a spending competition.
If it were, then let’s just auction State House to the highest bidder and be done with it.

Whether you are APC or not, it’s clear that Sierra Leone cannot afford another five years of missed opportunity.
If APC gets it wrong again, not just at the ballot box, but from the very selection of who carries their flag the consequences will go far beyond party lines.
The whole country suffers.

Jagaban might mean well and he might genuinely want to help. But helping people with money is not the same as running a country.
Sierra Leone does not need another rich man looking to play savior.
We need a leader with substance, one who understands the depth of our problems and has the political, moral and intellectual capacity to tackle them.

Dear APC delegates, don’t let hunger today destroy your children’s future tomorrow.
Don’t trade your conscience for cash.
This is bigger than politics.
It’s about the future of Sierra Leone.

Choose wisely. Or we all pay.
