It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Pa Wurie.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother Mam Theresa Cannon, children, siblings, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and a wide circle of friends both at home and abroad.
Pa Wurie’s life was defined by humility, kindness, and service. He dedicated himself to others through his church, his community, and countless friendships, always serving as a selfless mentor and supporter.
Career & Service
His distinguished career included vital roles with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Sierra Leone, World Vision, and the Human Rights Commission, where he faithfully served until his retirement.
As a devoted member of Ebenezer Methodist Church (Circular Road), Pa Wurie served in various church organizations including the Stewards Union, Ebenezer Men’s Fellowship, and the Western District Men’s Fellowship.
