Freetown – The Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) has launched its Strategic Development Plan (SDP) for 2026-2030, a roadmap aimed at enhancing water service delivery and institutional sustainability.
The launch event, attended by government officials and development partners, highlighted SALWACO’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6, which focuses on access to water and sanitation.
SALWACO Managing Director Ing. Tiideni Hawa Jabbi emphasized that the SDP aligns with national development priorities and global frameworks, focusing on five key areas: water and sanitation development, sustainable service delivery, commercialization, facility protection, and capacity development.
The plan is expected to transform SALWACO into a resilient and efficient institution, supporting the government’s goal of delivering sustainable water supply and sanitation services nationwide.
Deputy Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation Ing. Francis Kallon hailed the SDP as a strategic milestone, reaffirming the government’s commitment to achieving SDG 6.
