A shocking case of child abuse has emerged in Mamba Ridge, where a 6-year-old girl suffered severe burns on both hands as punishment for wasting a neighbor’s baby perfume. The perpetrator, the child’s aunt, is currently on the run.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Friday evening, prompting neighbors to accompany the aunt’s husband to the police station. The aunt, however, fled the scene.

Photos of the injured child, shared by Ibrahim Kamara on Saturday afternoon, have sparked widespread outrage and condemnation. Many have described the aunt’s actions as “evil” and “inhumane.”

The Kissy Police Department is actively searching for the aunt, with the community rallying behind the effort to bring her to justice.

“This heinous act of child abuse will not be tolerated in our community,” said a local resident. “We demand justice for the innocent child.”

The incident highlights the urgent need for increased awareness and prevention of child abuse in Sierra Leone.

The police are urging anyone with information on the aunt’s whereabouts to come forward.

The child is currently receiving medical attention for her injuries.
