The National Revenue Authority has ordered businesses and license holders with outstanding non-tax liabilities to settle debts immediately or face enforcement action.
The compliance notice targets mining companies, EIA license holders, ISPs, TV and radio stations, state land lessees, factory operators, private security firms, liquor license holders, and entities owing arms and ammunition fees.
The NRA said the directive is backed by Section 12 of the Finance Act 2019, which empowers it to recover unpaid revenues.
Officials warned that enforcement begins without further notice. Actions will include sealing business premises, garnishing bank accounts, and imposing travel restrictions on defaulting individuals or companies.
The Authority urged all affected stakeholders to regularize obligations without delay to avoid punitive measures.
It reaffirmed commitment to strengthening revenue collection and ensuring compliance across all sectors of the economy.
