FREETOWN, Wednesday, September 17, 2026 — The Government of Sierra Leone has warned the public against doing business with a group calling itself “World Changing Centre Charity,” saying it is not a registered Non-Governmental Organization in the country.

In a public notice issued from its headquarters at Tower Hill, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED) said the group has no government recognition and is not authorized to implement any programmes anywhere in Sierra Leone.

The Ministry has instructed the general public, development partners and international organizations to desist from any engagement or transactions with the charity.

MoPED further called on anyone with information about funds received by the group for operations in Sierra Leone to immediately notify the Ministry or report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police.

The Ministry, which is responsible for registration and coordination of NGOs and development cooperation, routinely issues advisories to protect the public and donor funds from unaccredited entities.
