The Government has unveiled a real-time data system to track 600 key development indicators in a bid to strengthen monitoring and accountability.
Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Kenyeh Barlay, disclosed this during the Civic Day USA Edition in New York, where she outlined reforms to transform the country’s public sector architecture.
She said the real-time tracking covers 600 development indicators to monitor implementation and measure progress across national development programmes.
According to her, the approach is designed to improve accountability by providing a clearer picture of how government programmes are being executed.
Barlay stressed that transforming the public sector architecture remains critical to improving development outcomes, with data placed at the centre of monitoring and evaluation.
The presentation formed part of sectoral updates delivered to Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora during the New York Civic Day engagement.
