The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the National Public Health Agency (NPHA), the Ministry of Social Welfare, and Breakthrough ACTION, has rolled out new informational materials tailored for individuals with special needs.
The launch took place on Friday, October 25, 2024, during an orientation session at the Ministry of Social Welfare Conference Hall in Freetown. These resources focus on vital information regarding Lassa fever, Ebola, and Mpox, covering symptoms, transmission, prevention, and treatment.
This initiative aims to ensure that all members of the community, especially those with disabilities, are equipped with the knowledge needed to protect themselves and contribute to public health, particularly during outbreaks. The efforts reflect the commitment of health authorities to make health information accessible to everyone and foster a more resilient and informed population.
