Vice President Jalloh Champions Unity at Peace Museum Visit

 On October 28, 2024, Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, visited the Peace Museum, a significant institution managed by the Residual Special Court of Sierra Leone (RSCSL). 

The museum serves as a poignant reminder of the country’s turbulent past, showcasing the devastating effects of the civil war and Sierra Leone’s journey toward lasting peace, justice, and national cohesion. During his visit, Vice President Jalloh underscored the importance of the museum in educating the public about the civil war’s impact and the resilience of the Sierra Leonean people. 

The museum’s exhibits, featuring personal testimonies, artifacts, and historical documents, present a deeply moving narrative of the nation’s struggle and its ultimate triumph in establishing peace and unity. 

The Vice President praised the RSCSL team for their dedication and excellence in curating the museum. He emphasized the need to preserve these stories for future generations as a testament to the strength and determination of the nation’s people. 

Dr. Jalloh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the RSCSL and its mission to promote peace and justice. He acknowledged the crucial role the Peace Museum plays in fostering national cohesion and ensuring that the lessons of the past are not forgotten. The visit concluded with a renewed promise to support the museum’s efforts in maintaining justice and building a peaceful future for Sierra Leone.
