Mohamed Osango Marah, a former police constable attached to the Kabala Divisional Headquarters, has been dismissed from the Sierra Leone Police for multiple disciplinary offenses. His dismissal followed a tribunal convened by the Complaint Discipline & Internal Investigation Department (CDIID), presided over by Inspector Aruna M. Gbondo.
Marah faced charges including lack of civility, specifically wounding with intent, failure to comply with standing orders issued by the Inspector-General of Police, and conduct detrimental to good order and discipline. Subsequently, he was criminally charged by the Criminal Investigation Department.
After several court appearances at the Kabala Magistrate Court, where he faced charges of wounding with intent, wounding, and assault occasioning bodily harm—prosecuted by Sergeant 3435 Kargbo—Magistrate Hadiru Daboh has committed the matter to the High Court for further proceedings.
