Sierra Leone’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alpha Sesay, has met with the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to discuss deepening cooperation on security and justice matters.

The bilateral meeting took place in Accra, Ghana, at the request of Minister Sesay, and centered on strategies to tackle transnational organized crime, illicit financial flows, and other cross-border security threats.

According to AG Sesay, the discussions highlighted the need for sustained commitment, measurable progress, and stronger collaboration to protect national borders and shield citizens from the effects of organized crime.

He reiterated Sierra Leone’s resolve to back joint efforts aimed at countering transnational threats and to uphold obligations under the existing security partnership with the Netherlands.

The engagement is part of broader bilateral cooperation focused on strengthening justice institutions and improving coordinated responses to crimes that transcend borders.
