The All Peoples Congress (APC) has officially republished the locations and centres designated for its forthcoming Ward Elections, set to occur nationwide on February 21, 2026. A public notice issued on February 14, 2026, by the party’s National Secretariat confirmed that the decision followed a consultative meeting between party leadership and the Internal Elections Management Committee (IEMC).
The updated publication incorporates several modifications based on rulings from petitions concerning specific Ward Election locations. It also includes directives from the Independent Elections Complaint Board (IECB) regarding its oversight and adjudicatory functions.
The National Secretariat highlighted that the new list represents the “final and binding administrative position of the Party,” shaped by the outcomes of comprehensively reviewed petitions and IECB directives. Any prior lists that conflict with this notice have been rendered void.
The notice reiterates that the Ward Elections will proceed exclusively at the updated locations as approved. The APC National Secretariat emphasized its dedication to conducting “free, fair, transparent, and orderly Ward Elections” in strict accordance with the rule of law and the APC Constitution.
