The Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law – Sierra Leone (CARL-SL) has launched a capacity-building programme in Mongo, Falaba District, to strengthen the response of justice and protection actors to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
The initiative is being implemented under the UNDP Spotlight Initiative 2.0 Response and targets justice, security and protection service providers in Falaba, Kailahun and Moyamba districts.
According to CARL-SL, the training is designed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of frontline actors in handling SGBV cases, with a focus on survivor-centred case management.
It also seeks to improve case documentation, strengthen referral pathways and enhance coordination among institutions responsible for delivering justice and protection services to survivors.
The organisation said the intervention aims to contribute to a more coordinated, responsive and survivor-centred justice system that promotes access to justice and strengthens protection for survivors of SGBV across the three districts.
