OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT.
It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Mr Joseph Hallowell, District Census Officer, Tonkolili District.
Mr. Hallowell died in a tragic road accident in the early hours of Tuesday, 9th June 2026, while traveling from Freetown to Magburaka.
Mr. Hallowell was a dedicated public servant whose commitment to duty, humility, and passion for community development left a lasting mark on the census team and the people of Tonkolili. His death is a huge loss to Statistics Sierra Leone and to all who knew him.
He has already been buried on June 29th 2926 in Freetown.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
