In a significant diplomatic move, Chernor Bah, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, has embarked on an official visit to Beijing, China, following an invitation from Diming Printing, one of the nation’s leading printing firms. Accompanying him are Andrew Kamara, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, and Mr. Salifu Suma, the Government Printer.
This visit aims to explore a potential strategic partnership with Diming Printing, which could play a crucial role in modernizing Sierra Leone’s Government Printing Department and enhancing the country’s overall printing and publishing infrastructure. Diming Printing has also expressed a keen interest in establishing operations in Sierra Leone, paving the way for opportunities in technology transfer, local capacity building, and the development of the private sector within the printing industry.
In a related note, Domino Printing Sciences, a prominent player in the Chinese printing sector, has recently invested in a new factory located in Changshu, China. This investment underscores the company’s commitment to the Chinese market and the broader Asia-Pacific region, focusing on ink production, inkjet printer assembly, and thermal transfer overprinting (TTO) assembly testing.
