The National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) has announced the relocation of its headquarters and the Directorate of Births and Deaths, aimed at improving service delivery as part of an administrative restructuring.

As of the 31st, the NCRA headquarters has moved from its previous address at No. 2 Walpole Street to a new location at No. 28B Kingharman Road in Freetown, adjacent to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.

The Directorate of Births and Deaths has also been shifted, now operating from No. 2 Walpole Street, the former site of the NCRA headquarters.

The Authority has reassured the public that these relocations will not hinder the provision of essential services such as civil registration, vital statistics, and identity management. The announcement was made through a public notice issued by the Information, Education, and Communication unit of the NCRA, which includes the Authority’s official seal for verification.

The NCRA, established to enhance the accuracy of civil registration processes, plays a vital role in recording significant life events, providing essential documentation that supports legal identity and access to social services. By ensuring the reliable collection of vital statistics, the NCRA contributes to effective national planning and governance.

For further inquiries, the public is encouraged to contact NCRA or visit their official website.
