The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas, has publicly commended the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, for his role in restoring public confidence in government communication.
The commendation came during the parliamentary sitting on Thursday, 9th July 2026, as the Minister laid before Parliament a Joint Venture Agreement between the Ministry of Information and Civic Education and Diming Yimo Printing Group, dated 24th March 2026.
Rt. Hon. Thomas told the House that the Ministry has recorded significant improvement in recent years. He noted that unlike in the past when many citizens doubted official information, the public now shows greater trust in releases from the Ministry.
He attributed the change to the Minister’s commitment to transparency and effective civic engagement.
“This House is proud of you, and I am extremely proud of you. Thank you very much for everything,” the Speaker said.
Responding, Minister Bah expressed gratitude.
“Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker, for those very kind words. I am humbled by your remarks,” he stated.
The joint venture agreement is expected to strengthen the Ministry’s capacity to deliver credible information and civic education to the public.
