The Political Parties Regulation Commission has opened a 24-hour window for aggrieved members of the All People’s Congress to challenge decisions made by the party’s Internal Elections Complaint Board.
In a public notice issued Monday, September 7, the PPRC said all petitions against IECB rulings must be submitted to the Commission by Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 4:45 p.m.
Hearings will commence the next day.
“The Commission will hear all petitions on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the PPRC Conference Hall, OAU Drive, Tower Hill, Freetown,” the notice stated.
The PPRC has invited representatives of the IECB, the Independent Elections Management Committee, petitioners, and other key stakeholders to attend the proceedings.
In a strong warning, the Commission also advised institutions and stakeholders to “refrain from conducting political activities with members of the deregistered party” until the matter is resolved.
The PPRC said the action falls within its constitutional mandate to regulate political parties and ensure compliance with Sierra Leone’s laws governing political party conduct.
The deadline puts pressure on APC factions to quickly file grievances as the party navigates its internal leadership disputes.
