Serabu Village, Kenema District — A heavy-duty truck lost control and crashed into a house in Serabu Village this afternoon, July 5th, 2025, while the driver attempted to avoid ducks crossing the road.

The incident occurred in the early afternoon, startling local residents who were relieved to learn that no serious injuries had been reported. The truck, with registration number AWL 562, swerved off the road and collided with a nearby residence. Eyewitnesses described a loud noise that prompted them to rush outside, where they found the truck embedded in the structure.

“I just heard a loud noise and ran outside. The vehicle had already crashed into the house,” recounted one resident. “We’re thankful no one was hurt, especially the children who usually play around that area.”

Emergency services and local authorities quickly arrived to assess the situation. Although the property sustained significant damage, reports confirmed that there were no fatalities or serious injuries.

The accident has sparked concerns among community members regarding road safety, particularly the risks posed by animals on busy roads.
