APC Kono Peace Tour: Unity Efforts Clouded by Sam Sumana’s Disappearance

The All-People’s Congress (APC) recently initiated a peace tour in Kono District, aiming to foster unity and collaboration with the local community in anticipation of the 2028 elections. During the visit, party officials engaged with Kono residents, discussing the importance of reconciliation and pledging to address past grievances if elected.

However, the event was notably marked by the absence of Sam Sumana, a former vice president and influential figure within Kono District. His absence has raised questions regarding the current alignment between Sumana and the APC leadership, suggesting potential discord within the party.

Despite this setback, the tour attracted a significant turnout, with many community members participating in discussions aimed at building a united front for Sierra Leone’s future. The APC leadership reaffirmed their commitment to rectifying past mistakes and working closely with the Kono people to create a better tomorrow.
