The Sierra Leone Police have apprehended a suspect, Yusifu Jalloh, during a routine security operation at the Fallah Checkpoint in Bo. Jalloh, who resides in First Pump Line, Adonkia, Goderich, Freetown, was found in possession of nine black plastic bags allegedly containing kush, a narcotic substance.
According to police reports, the operation aims to combat drug trafficking in the region, particularly between Freetown and Bo District. Authorities have ramped up efforts to tackle the growing concerns surrounding kush and its detrimental effects on youth and communities across the country.
Jalloh has been taken into custody along with the seized items, as police continue their investigation into broader drug trafficking networks. Law enforcement officials have reiterated their commitment to enforcing the law against those involved in the distribution and consumption of illegal substances.
