Falaba District The Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs, Amara Kallon, has extended the government’s public sector reform programme to Falaba District, underscoring efforts to modernize governance and strengthen public service delivery across Sierra Leone.
Speaking at the Civic Day Series in Mongor, Falaba District on 24 March 2026, Minister Kallon told residents that the reform drive is focused on restructuring the public sector to deliver a system that is more responsive, efficient, and better aligned with citizens’ needs.
He said his Ministry has completed Management and Functional Reviews for 38 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), including key institutions such as the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL), the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) and the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC). The Minister explained that the reviews are intended to improve institutional performance and introduce stronger mechanisms for public service delivery in support of national development.
Minister Kallon also outlined measures to accelerate digital transformation within the public service. He announced plans to fully digitize recruitment processes and staff attendance within the next year, describing the Sierra Leone Digital Human Resource Hub as a system that will replace dominant paper-based procedures.
The Minister said the move is expected to improve efficiency, strengthen transparency, and enhance accountability in government operations marking, he noted, a significant step in Sierra Leone’s broader public sector reform agenda.
