The Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, convened a follow-up meeting with key stakeholders to assess progress on the implementation of the Tripartite Recommendations.
The meeting, held at the Office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Komba Kamanda, brought together representatives of the All People’s Congress, the National Moral Guarantors, the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists, and other relevant institutions.
According to ICPNC, the engagement was a continuation of previous consultations with the International Moral Guarantors. Discussions focused on commitments already undertaken, agreed timelines, and outstanding actions required to meet the December target.
Participants reviewed updates from various sectors and discussed strategies to accelerate implementation of the recommendations.
ICPNC said the meeting forms part of its mandate to promote dialogue, peace, and national cohesion by providing a platform for institutions and stakeholders to monitor progress and foster collaboration.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the effective implementation of the Tripartite Recommendations to strengthen trust and consolidate lasting peace and national cohesion in Sierra Leone.
