The Sierra Leone Water Company has unveiled a sweeping brand strategy aimed at rebuilding public trust and transforming water delivery into a more efficient, customer-focused service.
Unveiled this week, the rebranding positions SALWACO to operate as a financially viable and service-driven utility. The plan prioritizes reliable supply, stronger corporate identity, and deeper engagement with customers and communities across its operational areas.
Central to the new direction is a set of corporate values built around the acronym “SERVICE”: Service Excellence, Equity, Reliability, Voice and Vigilance, Integrity, Customer-Centricity, and Efficiency and Effectiveness.
According to the Company, the framework signals a renewed commitment to dependable water supply, fair access, transparency, and responsiveness to public feedback. It also commits SALWACO to innovation in operations and infrastructure management.
“The new brand reflects who we want to be for the people we serve,” SALWACO stated. “Our vision is equitable access to safe, affordable water and sanitation, delivered in a way that is sustainable, accountable, and practical.”
Officials say the initiative is part of a broader institutional reform to improve customer experience, strengthen the Company’s reputation, and secure long-term financial sustainability.
Managing Director Ing. Tiideni Jabbi was credited for driving the transformation with a clear corporate vision focused on professionalism, efficiency, and measurable results.
SALWACO reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with government, partners, and communities to deliver quality water services nationwide.
