Alhaji Dauda Jalloh, a prominent Sierra Leonean businessman and husband of Admire Bio, has categorically denied any connection to Santigie Bangura, who was arrested on June 22, 2025, at Fallah Checkpoint along the Bo-Tiama highway while allegedly transporting a significant quantity of kush to Kenema.
Following Bangura’s arrest, social media and several newspapers reported that he had implicated Jalloh, suggesting that the businessman had sent him to sell the drug. Jalloh has rejected these allegations, asserting that he has never met or conducted any business with Bangura.
Upon learning of the connection made in the media, Jalloh visited the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for clarification but was informed that Bangura was not being held there. He expressed concern that the police had not reached out to him about the matter, prompting him to seek answers personally.
Jalloh also recounted a previous incident last year when police searched his home at Mile 13 following similar accusations of drug involvement. At that time, the Director of Crime Services, Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Joseph Lahai, confirmed to journalists that the search yielded no evidence related to kush. Despite this, Jalloh noted that the police did not issue a public statement to clear his name.
He is now urging the police to investigate the origins of the accusations linking him to the latest case and to ensure transparency in their handling of the situation. Jalloh is also seeking information on whether Bangura remains in custody and what actions will be taken moving forward.
Furthermore, he warned that if the police do not bring charges against Bangura, he will pursue legal action against the Sierra Leone Police. “I am a legitimate businessman,” Jalloh stated, emphasizing his desire for the truth to be revealed and for the public to understand his lack of involvement in the incident.
