Medipol Global International Health Services, Turkey’s largest private health investment and university hospital, has expressed a keen interest in partnering with Sierra Leone’s healthcare sector. A delegation from Medipol, led by Mr. Murat Beltek, Head of Marketing and Business Development, paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Dr. Francess Virginia Anderson, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Turkey.
During the meeting, Mr. Beltek emphasized Medipol’s dual role as a leader in private healthcare delivery and medical education. He noted that their participation in the Sierra Leone-Turkey Investment and Trade Seminar held in Istanbul on May 30, 2025, revealed significant investment opportunities within Sierra Leone, particularly in healthcare.
“We are excited about the possibilities in Sierra Leone,” Mr. Beltek stated. “Our goal is to enhance healthcare delivery and improve quality of life through advanced technology, education, and clinical research.”
Medipol operates one of Turkey’s most advanced university hospitals, featuring modern architecture, intelligent building systems, and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Their comprehensive services span general medicine, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, and dental care, positioning Medipol as a new benchmark in the global health sector.
In response, Ambassador Anderson warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted Sierra Leone’s commitment to fostering credible investments. “Sierra Leone is a peaceful, democratic country that is open for investment, especially in key development sectors like health,” she remarked. “We are dedicated to protecting and supporting every credible investor who believes in our nation’s potential.”
Ambassador Anderson also extended an invitation for Medipol to join a Turkish investor delegation expected to visit Sierra Leone in September 2025. This trip aims to conduct feasibility assessments and initiate concrete partnerships.
This visit underscores a growing interest from Turkish investors in Sierra Leone and represents a promising opportunity for collaboration between the two nations in enhancing access to quality healthcare.
