Community Leaders Unite to Tackle Challenges at Taiama Kori Chiefdom Meeting

TAIAMA KORI CHIEFDOM, Moyamba District — Chief Ernest B. Ndomahina, former Ambassador to China and current Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NacSA), hosted a significant meeting at his residence on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

The gathering, which commenced around 4:30 PM, brought together a diverse group of chiefdom authorities, including Chief Rev. Sorie Kamanda, the Chiefdom Speaker, section chiefs, youth leaders, and community representatives.

The primary focus of the meeting was to address pressing issues affecting the community, such as theft, lawlessness, and drug abuse. Commissioner Ndomahina emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts to combat these challenges. Youth leader Mr. Lansana A. Fofanah expressed his commitment to working alongside the Commissioner, stressing the importance of unity among the youth in addressing these negative trends.

Rev. Sorie Kamanda commended Commissioner Ndomahina for his unwavering support and developmental initiatives in Taiama and the broader chiefdom, highlighting the positive impact of his efforts on community growth and stability.

Additionally, women’s representative Umu Fofanah made a heartfelt plea for microfinance support to empower women in the chiefdom, reflecting the community’s desire for sustainable development and economic opportunities.

Despite its brevity, the meeting was pivotal in reinforcing community bonds and setting a proactive agenda for the future of Taiama Kori Chiefdom. Chief Ndomahina’s leadership continues to foster collaboration and drive positive change within the community.
